Magnetic Navigation Method of Danbach AGV

Author: DANBACH Date: 2020-11-12 source: Internet

At present, AGV, as a necessary automated handling trolley for the contact logistics management system, is widely used and is also a relatively mature AGV navigation method: magnetic navigation.

Magnetic navigation, or magnetic stripe navigation, is to lay a magnetic stripe on the road, realize navigation through the magnetic signal generated by the magnetic navigation sensor's uninterrupted induction of the magnetic stripe, and complete the designated task by reading the pre-embedded RFID card.

Magnetic navigation: Use magnetic strips on the road instead of burying metal wires under the ground, and realize navigation through magnetic induction signals. It has better flexibility, and it is easier to change or expand the path. It is simple and easy to lay magnetic strips, or some companies feel afraid Sticking the induction magnetic strip on the ground affects the beauty. Another method is to slot a small pit on the ground that can hide the magnetic strip without affecting the beauty. However, this navigation method may be mechanically damaged by hard objects such as metals passing through the loop, which will have a certain impact on navigation.

Advantages: The cost of magnetic navigation is low and the implementation is relatively simple.

Disadvantages: This navigation method has poor flexibility. The AGV can only walk along the magnetic stripe. Changing the path requires re-laying the magnetic stripe. The task cannot be changed in real time through the control system. The magnetic stripe is easy to damage and the maintenance cost is high.
